There are many poisonous substances that are not listed
here. Please do not assume that a specific product is ok
just because it is not listed. If you are not clear about
the toxicity of certain products, please contact your
veterinarian.

Products containing phenols, Products containing
camphor, bleach, caustics, detergents, disinfectants,
dishwashing soaps, rubbing alcohol, toilet bowl cleaners,
water softeners, windshield washer fluids.

Air freshener products, batteries, brake fluid, caulking,
citronella candles, deodorants, dye, moth balls, naphalene,
nail polish & remover, Petroleum distillate products:
varnishes, glues, glass cleaners, paint and paint solvents,
wood preservatives, barbeque lighting fluids, teflon, shoe
polish, swimming pool treatment supplies, motor oils,
Products containing Ethylene Glycol: anti-freeze

Products:
Food: alcoholic beverages, caffeine,
chicken bones, chili, chocolate, cocoa, garlic (damages red
blood cells, causing anemia), garlic powder, grapes, green
potatoes, hot sauce, macadamia nuts, onions (damages red
blood cells, causing anemia), onion powder, pepper, popcorn,
products sweetened with xylitol, raisins, rotten food (from
garbage cans, etc), select cheeses, tomatoes, white
chocolate, yeast dough. Only feed tuna occasionally (because
of mercury and a deficiency in certain vitamins, such as E,
also tuna can stimulate allergy-like disorders.
Medicines:
Aspirin, acetaminophen, boric acid, ibuprofen, naproxen,
laxatives, other human prescription and OTC drugs, nicotine.
Vanity Products: Essential oils (causes liver damage)
such as Lavender Oils, Tea Tree Oils, Eucalyptus,
aromatherapy products, deoderants, mineral oil, potpourri, suntan lotions,

Stagnant water can contain blue-green algae/Cynobacteria
which can be highly toxic and/or fatal, cocoa mulch
(contains theobromine)
Partial List of Pesticides and Herbicides
Insecticides and Herbicides containing: boric
acid, carbarnates, diazanon, fly baits containing methomyl,
glyphosate, organophosphates, permethrin, pyrethrins,
pyrethoids, etc. Fungicides Slug and snail Baits containing:
meyaldehyde and methiocarbs Rodentcides (including
anti-coagulant rodenticides) containing: cholecalciferol,
arsenics, strychnine, zinc phosphide, bromethalin, compound
1080, etc. Mice, birds, etc that have eaten poisoned baits.
Other Dangers Bags with handles, bees, dental floss,
electric cords, garlands, hornets, pennies (contain zinc),
plastic bags, plastic drinking straws, plastic tie wraps,
ribbon, rubber bands, string, tinsel, toys with pieces that
can be chewed off and swallowed, wasps, yarn.
